Events/News with Michigan History Foundation

Make Your Next Event An Historical One!

Host it at the Michigan Historical Museum

And enjoy a one-of-a-kind evening experience featuring 30,000 square feet of exhibition space highlighting Michigan's past - from prehistoric times to the 1970s - while providing a unique setting for your event.  The exhibits feature everything from Civil War flags to tie-dyed dresses; Model Ts to cornflakes; and arrowheads to the sounds of Motown.

We can accommodate a variety of events from celebrations to museum-wide buffet receptions to intimate sit-down dinners while showcasing our state in this beautiful treasure.

Imagine:

  • Hors d’oeuvres with rugged Paleo-Indian hunters under a
    four-story map of Michigan
  • Drinks while strolling through an 1870s copper mine
  • A banquet in the woodlands of 17th Century Michigan
  • Dessert in an 1890s one-room school house or
    the1957 Detroit Auto Show

Also:

  • A 224-seat Forum with open stage
  • Free after-hours parking (up to 300 vehicles)
  • Costumed Docents
  • Staff and security on site

You will enjoy your event all the more knowing that you have contributed to the education programs and projects devoted to protecting and sharing your state's heritage.  You and your guests can wine, dine and relive the past while supporting a better future for our children.
